Outfits and TV

Outfits:
Thank you for all your kind words about our pictures!! You all are so sweet!

A couple of people asked about our clothing. My entire outfit was from Express. It's pretty much the only place I buy my clothes. I try and shop elsewhere and then I always end up going to Express. They always have amazing coupons and sales so I can get our stuff for super cheap (its about the only thing Luke wears also). And their jeans fit me the best, even on this post baby body.

Eli's outfit was from Old Navy and I was so excited to find it. Actually I didn't find it, I told twitter what I had in mind (a one piece sweater outfit) and my friend Jill was the first to send me this link to the Old Navy outfit. It is still there and is a great price. I actually got Eli's outfit first and then planned ours around it.

TV:
This summer I first saw a preview for a new TV show called Once Upon a Time.
I was immediately intrigued. I had NO idea what it was about but it looked good. It premiered this past Sunday so at 7:00 I sat down to watch it with no expectation. I realized it could easily go either way. And I have to say I LOVED it. I read in an article that ratings were the best for a TV show on ABC in nearly 3 years - but the verdict is still out from critics as to whether it will be picked up for a full season or not. I'm definitely excited to watch this show - as many episodes as it has. I'm hoping it stays just as good as the first episode was and gets picked up!

I've heard a lot about the show Revenge but I haven't checked it out yet.

I have to admit when I first saw the previews I thought it looked ridiculous but apparently I'm missing out on a great show. I can't decide if I want to catch up on episodes or wait until the end of the season and watch them all at once.

One thing that brings me great joy is finding a TV show that Luke and I both love. Clearly I'm easily "joyed" but it is so fun to find a show that we both look forward to watching. Our last show like this was Friday Night Lights, hands down the best show in the world. BEST.
I could actually sit down and watch the entire series again but Luke doesn't want to do that. So I've been trying to find a new show for us to love together. Luke is actually amused at how determined I am to find us a new show.

While Luke was on Fall Break last week we started watching Parenthood on Netflix Instant.

I so want to find a show that we both love and have maybe become a little obsessive about it. After each completed episode I would ask Luke"did you like it?" "how do you feel about it?" I never directly ask him IS THIS OUR NEW SHOW? But I desperately want to find one. Well desperate is a strong word but I would really really like to find us a show to watch. You know, in all our spare time.

Parenthood was good but doesn't have us hooked yet like Friday Night Lights did. It's hard to compete against PURE GOLD. All future shows in our lives sure have their work cut out for them.

What TV show is your favorite show right now? Did anybody else watch Once Upon a Time? I have high hopes!

I didn't watch Once Upon a Time because I was watching the World Series, but I might have to check it out. I have all the episodes of Revenge on my DVR waiting for me to catch up. Everyone says it's great.. maybe I'll find time to watch it. I am loving Pan Am though. I think it's my new favorite show since Brothers & Sisters isn't on anymore.

Revenge = good stuff. I just caught up on the episodes so I'd know what was happening right now!

Parenthood is amazing. I cry at the end of almost every epsiode. Love it, love it, love it!

Not so "drama" as Parenthood and FNL are, but my husband and I have really been enjoying Person of Interest together. I'm also a big fan of Revenge! I heard it was only for one season, though, which really bums me out.

Oh my gosh. I just got totally depressed because there will never be another show as good as Friday Night Lights. There just won't. :(

I hate to admit this, but I have not seen one episode of Friday Night Lights. (I'm sure I will hear about this tomorrow!)

Parenthood is a favorite. Mike and I have been watching since the beginning and we both enjoy it. You need to catch up to the current season. I think Luke would like what is happening right now on the show... Adam and Crosby have just started running an historic recording studio.

The Office is a good ole' stand by too.

I agree with FNL. I miss that show! I'm not sure much can compare to Tim Riggins.

I LOVED "Once Upon a Time" as well...when I found out that the writers of "Lost" wrote the show, I thought, "No wonder I was confused at some parts." LOL--but it was good! I also enjoy watching "Pan Am," but my husband is not a fan. :)

I've never watched Friday Night Lights, but may have to check out some of the series. We love Parenthood, as well as Modern Family, Suits and Royal Pains. It is hard finding shows both like. :)

My husband and I have trouble finding shows we both like, too. We can usually agree on food shows like "Chopped" and "Top Chef." We also both LOVE "Veronica Mars." There were only 3 seasons, and it's done, but its a great show! You should check it out!

I watched Once Upon a Time yesterday and I LOVEDDDDD it!! I hope all of the episodes are as good as the first one. I really hope it gets picked up, I always love shows that don't end up getting picked up. I watch Revenge, and I really like it. There are rumors that it may be only one season which annoys a lot of people, but it's kind of one of those shows that can't be much longer than one or two seasons, you know?

K Megan - I am SO jealous of your cute family pictures! They are darling. You are in the best baby stage for pictures. I loved mine last year too before Kole could move! Your little Eli is such a doll.

LOVE Parenthood. Keep watching it - it gets better. We are also enjoying Revenge. A little cheesy sometimes, but I love to watch it just to see the homes! They are BEAUTIFUL and totally my style. Do you watch Modern Family? Another one of our favorites. :)

I'm sad to say that my husband and I watch very little tv together. When I want to zone out I watch Kardashians, Real Housewives, The Duggars, The Little Couple, or Sister Wives. Yeah that's quite an assortment but sometimes I go weeks w/o watching anything and then catch up on the dvr. And my husband just kind watches whatever. Before we had our son (4 years ago) we always watched the office. Now we watch Tom and Jerry. Pathetic.

I loooooove Parenthood so much. I literally cry during every episode. I definitely recommend catching up on last season, since it's probably weird to start watching now without the backstories. I also love Modern Family, but that's a totally different (hilarious) vibe.

I watched the entire season so far of revenge last night On Demand. Watch it!! You'll love it! I'm definitely hooked now!

We watched Once Upon A Time the other night - loved, loved, loved it! Haven't seen Revenge because we have choir on Wednesdays and don't have DVR, but we may have to check it out On Demand.

Confession, I have never seen Friday Night Lights but want to get Netflix this winter because I think it sounds wonderful!

Parenthood is my favorite TV on right now. I caught up last year when I had my daughter and I cannot wait for every Tuesday night. It makes me laugh, it makes me cry (a lot) and I love that there is a lot of things that might come up in our marriage or family.

I started watching Pan Am and I am still wondering if I like it. I know I LOVE the fashion.

I too saw Once Upon a Time and LOVED it. I hope that it stays on.

We are tv twins! Just started parenthood on netflix last week too! And I am the same with my husband, "DO YOU LOVE IT? DID YOU LIKE IT? PLEASE LET THIS BE OUR SHOW". (desperate say what?) I like it, a lot. Not as hooked as FNL though, but--how do you compare to that show?! really? ah! *missing coach taylor like whoa*

Love, love, love your family pictures!

Modern Family is our FAVORITE! You should watch if you need a good laugh!

I totally understand wanting to have a show that both you and your man will enjoy - it's fun cuddle time together, and if one or the other doesn't enjoy what you're watching,it's not as much fun ;)

I'm from South Africa, and we're a bit behind on TV shows - also,my taste isn't exactly the very best, but here are some shows that my fiancé and I have enjoyed:

Cougar Town, Criminal Minds, Boston Legal, Spartacus:Blood and Sand, Sons of Anarchy, Lie to Me, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, How I Met Your Mother, etc.

Been reading your blog for a few months - this is my first comment! I LOVE Revenge - waiting right now for 10pm to get here to watch it. I usually DVR my shows - but this one is so good I watch it live!

Just started reading your blog recently. Came across this, and I think we could be friends. FNL = best show ever!!! And I'm in your boat, a friend of mine and I had a standing date to watch the FNL I taped each week. Now that it's over, I'm trying to find us a new show, it's tough!
