Project 365 - Week 1

Here I go again. I'm going to attempt Project 365 for 2011. Most of the pics will probably come from my lovely iPhone even though I have one of those fancy schmancy camera's, but I don't know how to use it anyways so it doesn't really matter. And instead of doing them on Tuesday's I'm posting them on Saturday. They are pretty boring and more for my own benefit. I love going through my Project 365 posts from last year so hopefully I stick with it for the full year this time.

Saturday January 1st:
After a not so eventful New Years Eve Luke and I woke up the next morning and got ready for my family to come visit for the day. I cooked chicken spaghetti so we ate that for lunch and then go to work! We moved everything out of the soon to be nursery and transformed our back room into an office/guest room. It was a good and productive day and I'm so glad my parent's were there to help us! Maxton and I mainly just watched.

Sunday January 2nd:
The first Sunday of the new year! I worked in my kids classroom that morning (4 and 5 year olds, it's always an exciting time, and by working I should clarity that means "assisting" the main teacher and since being pregnant I'm not sure how good of an "assistant" I am). After church we headed out to eat with a couple of families from church, including one family that was visiting from Mississippi where they moved last year. I always get SO nervous going out to eat with a large group as I don't want to be a nuisance at the restaurant, but we had a great waiter and everything was very smooth.
Monday January 3rd:
Luke bought the paint for Eli's nursery and started taping off the room and painting the trim areas with a paintbrush. I wanted a brownish color without being too brown.

Tuesday January 4th:
Tuesday was a pretty low key day. Not much went on, so I snapped this pic of all of Luke's progress from painting the day before. He told me that he saved us money on buying pictures for the room by painting Eli's name on the wall. He thinks he is so clever.

Wednesday January 5th:
On Wednesday afternoon I got a bit worried because I hadn't felt Eli move all day long. I kept waiting to feel him and even did a couple of my "tricks" but he never moved. I didn't want to freak out and get all worried so I calmly called my Dr.'s office to tell them the situation. They told me I needed to go to our hospital to the maternity triage and get a non-stress test. So I went and they hooked me up to some monitors to monitor Eli's heart and make sure I wasn't having contractions. I was able to relax on the hospital bed and listen to Eli's heartbeat for about an hour. Wouldn't you know, he started kicked me about 2 seconds after they started monitoring his heart. Everything was good and the hospital staff was so sweet. This pic is as close to my tummy as you will ever get.

  2. Is project 365 where you do a project everyday? It sounds super neat!

When I was pregnant with my son, I had to go have the non-stress tests done EVERY WEEK! ha ha! I remember those days like they were the "good ole' days" I loved sitting there and listening to my baby's heartbeat and watching him kick! :)

I'm excited to see what the new nursery is going to look like! It's so much fun preparing a nursery! :-)

  4. I'm attempting Project 365 too. Of course, week one is already missing one photo, so I think it's safe to say there won't be 365 pictures for 2011!

  9. I love the mixed fettuccine idea and can't wait to try it next time! I'm so indecisive so it's perfect for me. I'm glad to hear everything is okay with Eli. I'm a labor and delivery nurse and seeing the monitors on your belly suddenly made me feel like I was at work, haha!

  11. Hey Megan!

My name is Laura (from laurasblondemoments.blogspot.com) and I'm new to your blog but reading your past few posts have cracked me up. Bravo is my BFF and I am about as crazy about all the Real Housewives as I am about The Rachel Zoe Project, Tabitha's Salon Makeover, and the Millionaire Matchmaker. I would love to do the Project 365 but wasn't sure where to get started. Happy blogging!
    :) Laura
