Our New (old) Show

Recently Luke and I discovered a little piece of gold.

Every single weekday at 6:00AM central time Boy Meets World comes on ABC Family.

And not just at 6:00AM but ALSO at 6:30AM.

You should have seen us when we discovered it, like two kids in a candy store.

The show is corny, the jokes aren't always funny (but sometimes they really are), and the story lines aren't realistic, but we love this show oh so much.

I think part of it is that we are both nostalgic people. And by nostalgic I mean completely nerdy and weird.

Watching this show reminds me of watching it on Friday nights during T.G.I.F. when I was younger. I have posted about my love for T.G.I.F before, and if I was a good blogger I would find that post and link it, but I honestly don't have the energy right now.

I have important things to do like watch Boy Meets World.

I love watching shows from the 90's that remind me of being young. Full House, Hey Dude, Clarissa Explains it All, Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Step by Step, Family Matters, Dinosaurs. These are all shows I love to watch now (when I can find them).

So now Boy Meets World has become the highlight of our marriage. Every night we get home, cook dinner, and then sit down and watch our two episodes of our favorite show from the 90's.

And my cute husband laughs hysterically the entire time.

I love watching shows from my childhood with Luke it's like two worlds colliding.

Any other Boy Meets World fans out there? Set your DVRS every weekday at 6:00 and 6:30!

Also, has anybody seen the previews for the new show with Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawrence? I'm pretty excited about that show.
Remember when I said I was nerdy and weird, that also applies now.

I love all of those old shows! They just don't make them like they used to! I do plan to catch the new one with Melissa & Joey. It looks good!

Siiiigh, another reason I wish I had cable. I will just have to schedule this into my gym time now so I can watch it on the treadmill! I need my Cory and Topanga!

Also, laughing at the reference to Dinosaurs....it's been FOREVER since that show crossed my mind. Hilarious. Remember that annoying baby they had??

I don't know why, but we do not get BMW at 6pm on ABC Fam. I am officially mad at Ohio's cable television.

I am excited for Joey and Melissa's new show! Did you ever see that wedding movie they're in together? Cuteness!

Boy Meets World ended when I was in college. I stayed home on a Friday night to see the finale. Granted by that point the show had reached a level of ridiculousness unmatched by any I have seen, but that didn't stop me. I still love that show.

I love Boy Meets World! I know what I'm doing this evening!

I watch Saved by the Bell every morning before work. This morning, I saw one that I didn't remember seeing before. It was like finding gold! (And I was late for work...oops)

AHHH I love TGIF - TV sucks now in comparison.

I will have to see if I get this Boy Meets World, because my 3 episodes of Friends I PVR every night are starting to overlap!

Boy Meets World was a good one, but we love, love, love watching The Wonder Years together! I'm thinking of getting it on DVD for my husband for Christmas.

I loved Boy Meets World--and all shows on T.G.I.F. Oh my gosh! And yes, saw the preview for Melissa & Joey and got wildly excited. It's like being a kid again!

I'm nerdy too. It's what all the cool kids are doing. Promise :)

T.G.I.F!! Ahh we just don't have quality shows like this anymore! I love Boy Meets World! My sis and I used to huddle on the floor and watch it and all the re-runs. Good to know it's on again!

Oh and I was trying to explain Dinosaurs to the Mr the other night and he had no clue what I was talking about?!? WHO did I marry?? I miss that show!

Rachel Antone said...

Oh my gosh did you seriously just reference DINOSAURS?! What a fantastic show! Oh geez the memories are flooding my brain right now!!

Tim and I love catching Saved By The Bell. We usually watch it while we're up early getting ready for church on Sundays, and then the rest of the day is jam packed with quotes. :)
