We survived the Ice Storm 2010!
However, I feel like I need to admit that all of the food from the picture in my last post is gone.

Friday we did not leave the house at all. It was sleeting and snowing outside and I do not leave when it does that.
I mentioned before that Luke wanted a new TV, well when he called me Thursday on his way home from work he said he was going to go price new TVs.
The weathermen were practically YELLING at people to get in doors and stay there and get off the roads and my lovely husband was driving around pricing TV's.
He got home about an hour or so later with no new TV, but instead he brought this with him
My friends, this is the best TV show EVER.Lost season one kept us entertained throughout the Ice Storm 2010.
I have said it before and I will say it again, TV on DVD is the best invention ever.
What show would you choose to keep you entertained during an Ice Storm? The kind that makes you snuggle up on the couch and you could sit and watch the whole series and not move.
Or, am I the only one that could do that? I tend to be lazy on snow days.
Oh and if you watch Lost who is your favorite character?? I must know.

I am going to have to start watching Lost. Never have before, so why not now? I watch many shows while being stuck inside. My favorite being Friends. It never gets old for me.

DVD TV is how I started watching LOST. I didn't watch it live until Season three! Hubby and I finished season one in two days! He then went out to the store at MIDNIGHT when season two came out on DVD a month before season three was to air on ABC. We watched it in two days!

I love the Desmond/Penny story line. I LOVE Sawyer. I also love Hurley. I'm so excited to find out how it goes but so sad to see it all end!

We were getting caught up on Season 5 this weekend. I love all the characters in different ways. Although Sayid is my favorite character in Season 1.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE lost. counting down the hours til tomorrow night. Hmm i never thought of who I would want to be though. I dunno I guess Claire before she became all possessed and ran away with her daddy haha.
LOST is my FAV show. I am SO excited for tomorrow and the new season!!

Love Lost - and Sawyer has always been my favorite - I wish my hair would just look like KAte's. Particularly if I was stranded on a crazy island with no hair product to speak of.
Lost and 24 are for sure the best shows to watch on DVD -- it's not nearly as exciting to watch them week-to-week :-)
Gilmore Girls would be my pick for watching through an ice storm. Love that show!
I never got into Lost--until I started sneaking peeks of it while my husband watched it on DVD. Now, I'm hoping to start at season 1 and make my way through the series without hearing the spoilers from this season. (Ha!)
I too am a Gilmore Girls ubber fan! I have all seven seasons on DVD and I can and have sat down and watched all seven seasons. I just can't get enough of it!
Can you believe I have never watched it? Too much t.v. .... too little time! Eek!

Believe it or not, we have never gotten into Lost. We did however spend most of the day catching up on all the episodes of 24 that were tivo'd. It was a very lazy, but wonderful weekend!
Glad you stayed indoors. I don't follow any TV shows religiously but watch a lot of them sporadically.
LOST is amazing!!! First show of last episodes start tomorrow night!!! Cant wait!

Ok, so I have 2 shows on DVD that barely hit the airwaves, but I LOVE. 1) the BRITISH Coupling (the American one was awful) and 2) Dead Like Me. Both wonderful.
And I love Sawyer
I love TV shows on DVD. We spent much of the weekend watching brothers and sisters. My new favorite show. Although we did not have an ice storm as an excuse.
Right now, we are in the middle of watching Dexter...we got into it last week and haven't been able to stop watching it!

Ohhh there are so many shows I could spend my weekend watching! If I want drama, I'd definitely pick LOST or Dexter. For laughs I'd go with The Office, 30 Rock, or Arrested Development. And if I were going for heart, I'd definitely watch my Friday Night Light DVD's! Hi, I'm Rachel and like TV too much!
And my favorite LOST character? Probably Sayid or Sawyer. I lover episodes that feature them. But I really love the Hurley episodes too!

I'm an expert at tv marathons in bad weather - West Wing, M*A*S*H, Dawson's Creek, That's 70s Show, House, Sex and the City are never fails.
I don't watch LOST but I do LOVE when it snows. I love that I don't have to feel guilty for not doing anything and instead I can take a nap, read, sew, blog or pretty much anything.
Ooo... ALIAS!! Did you ever watch that? It's my all-time favorite show and I would love to have every season on DVD. I would watch it all day, snuggled on the couch. You're not the only one. LOL

We have not watched lost... but its on our blockbuster rental list.

I think I would go with Dexter if I had to watch one show to get through an ice storm. LOST is a just a little too out there for me but I am glad you enjoyed your marathon!!
oooh - Gilmore Girls or the West Wing. I can watch 7 hours or more in a row and want more. I can probably recite most episodes too!

ahhhh!! we love lost!! i just posted on it last night in fact. so, we did the same thing a couple years ago. We spent about 10 straight days inside watching the first three seasons. And this weekend we got hit again with another snow, so we watched all of season five in two and half days! it was glorious. so, i think my favorite character is sawyer. he has the best lines.. he and hurley. but hugo makes me sad and sawyer makes me crack up. what about you??? you didn't say who your fav is. Lost is seriously the best show on TV.
I LOVE LOST! I turned Mr. Potts on to it the 2nd season & we were able to watch the first season together to get him caught up. This is definitely a show that we'll probably end up buying on DVD to watch again.
Love Sawyer. I think it has to do with the bad boy/hot man/shirtless-ness that he is.
I looove LOST! There really aren't words to express how much I love that show. My boyfriend got Netflix about a year ago and we went through all the seasons in about 2 months. Sometimes we would watch 3 or 4 episodes in one sitting, yeah, we can be losers sometimes. But it really is that good!!...Now it's almost excrutiatingly painful to wait a week between episodes now that it's back on TV. So sad this is the last season :(
