Mid-Week Vacation

Last week Luke found out that he would be leaving for a staff retreat in a couple of days. So due to the fact that I have worked a lot of extra hours the past two weeks I thought this would be a good opportunity for me to take a couple of days off and go spend sometime with my friends and family.

Because they ALL live in a different town. Keeps life interesting.

So Tuesday morning I headed north to the town I love.

My first stop was my mom's school where she teaches. Maxton was with her and had just woken up from a nap. He was not at all happy with me.

Case and point:

I stayed at the school until the end of the day and then we headed home and went out to eat.

The rest of the night was nothing worthy of pictures. We sat around and talked, laughed and watched Biggest Loser.

Oh and watched Toddler's and Tiara's which completely freaked. me. out.

The next day (Wednesday) I woke up early to go spend time with one of my BFF's Kara. My sister Kati came over so that she could color my hair while I hung out with Kara.

It's nice having your own personal hair stylist, even if she threatens me with hair color. Its dangerous to tick off the person that holds the color to your hair.

Maxton hung out with Kara's cute baby boy Isaiah while we did hair.

Here they are:

Maxton eating a snack and staring at me. I'm sure I looked crazy with all of that foil in my hair.
After my hair was done I hurried and got ready and met a bloggy friend Megan for lunch. I was unable to meet my bloggy friends for lunch on Tuesday but Megan was available on Wednesday. We had a great time! After lunch I hurried back home and met my other BFF's for some shopping and dinner. We ended up hanging out for 6 hours which was not enough, but I am grateful for all the time I get! So it was a fun little impromptu vacation in the middle of the week, spent with family and friends.

Now Luke is back home and we have positioned ourselves back to our usual routine. I love it.

Hope you all are having a great week!
