I know its not Friday and I titled my post TGIF - but I'm not referring to the catchphrase 'Thank Goodness It's Friday'.
I'm talking about the phenomenon on ABC that aired on Friday nights between 1988 and 2005.
Do you remember it? Did you LOVE it?
As a little girl I can remember looking forward to Friday's just so I could watch this amazing lineup of TV shows.
It is one of my favorite memories of childhood.
When I was really young we lived in St. Louis for a couple of years, and I can always remember watching TGIF waiting for my grandparents to drive in from OK to stay with us for the weekend.
The shows changed throughout the years that TGIF aired and eventually culture and the world moved on and there was no longer room for TGIF and those sitcom type shows.
So I now watch them on Nick at Nite, ABC Family or even YouTube. Wherever I can find them because I loved them so much.
Some people find them corny, but to me they are apart of my childhood. I don't care how many times I have seen an episode of Full House, if that show is on and I am home you better believe that I am going to be watching it.
My favorite shows on TGIF included Family Matters, Step by Step, Boy Meets World (in the later years of TGIF) and of course Full House (in the early years before it was moved to Tuesday nights).
Did you watch TGIF? What was your favorite show?
