Atleast we can't see each others 'sitting faces' through blogging! :-)
Ok, now, if you are reading this blog post then I need your help.
Sunday I mentioned that Luke and I got new end tables for our living room setup.
While we are living in our teeny tiny apartment we are trying to complete our furniture set so that when we move to a house we can focus on other areas of the house and not spend money on living room furniture.
However, I already know that my Materialistic-Americanized-Self will probably want to get new furniture when that time comes. But I know that I will need to send those thoughts back to the pits where they come from, gotta flee from that stuff!
Anyways, while we were table shopping, I found several chairs that peaked my interest. I have wanted to add a chair to our couch and sofa set up for awhile.
I had nearly talked Luke into buying a new chair, but then we couldn't decide which one we wanted. And being the completely indecisive people we are, we decided to not make a decision until we knew for sure.
I told Luke I would take it to the blog and we would have a decision in no time.
He may or may not have rolled his eyes.
So I need you to tell me which chair you like the best for our set up. Current set up.
Front view: Remember we still need to pick up the other end table (and buy lamps). It will go where the tall silver lamp is:
The Three Chairs:

I have always been a BIG FAN of red chairs, however I don't know if it will go out of style quick, or look weird with our tan furniture. This particular chair was placed with a tan couch in the furniture store and it looked good. and it looked good.

This is a fun and funky accent chair:

Just a plain brown (really comfortable) recliner. I love comfy recliners.

The first!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
I love #1! I think you would get tired of the print before you got tired of the red.
I LOVE #2 because it ties in the couches, pillows, and ottoman (not sure how that's spelled)!! Plus, it spices up the room a tad, but not too overwhelming! Let us know what you decide ... They would all be great!
The first one,of course!!!
The red would made your living room more interesting.
#2
I'm torn between #1 and #2 :)
#2 because it can be mixed with lots of things! Love it!
#1. Every room should have red in it.
Definitely #2..that way you can still get your accent color in there with out it sticking out with the solid color. Plus it's just so darn cute!
Um I think #2, no #1, #2 . . . I'm indecisive too - but I think both would look good in your room! :-)
I would totally go with the red one! #1 for sure!
#2 b/c it gives you a splash of red!
I vote for #2. There's just enough red in there, but it also ties in the other colors in your room.
#2...you get your red and it has the brown as well!
I vote for #2...It brings the brown and red in together to make a really nice looking chair. I really like it. Good Luck making a decision!
Don't you hate those white apartment walls? It drives me crazy.
like #2 best...it goes with the couches + a splash of red. All would look nice, though!
I like #2, The pattern will mix with future furniture and the square of little circles matches the wall hangings above the sofa!
Girl, I'm totally going with #2 :)
I would have to say #2...but that's because it's in my living room with a tan couches, and I love it!!

I really like the accent chair. #2. Very fun.
I love the comfy plain brown chair for a few reasons:
1.) That chair looks like it has the potential to produce some GREAT naps.
2.) In 20 years it will STILL GO with any furniture you may purchase in the future.
3.) In 20 years your kids won't make fun of the "funky" designs they had waaaay back in the 2000's.
4.) It probably costs less b/c it doesn't include an ottoman.
5.) Because it's "plain" it would be easier to sell in 20 years at a garage sale.
I moved a lot growing up (every two years around the states and internationally), so I've done a bit of switching houses. :) lol. The one thing I've learned, is that sometimes furniture that looks good in one space, doesn't somewhere else. If it's at all possible, I'd wait until you got to your new place to finish furnishing things, so they look like they're meant for there, rather than your newlywed apartment. But that's just me!!
As for voting, I would go for 2: the first is a bit bright compared to your others, and the third is not quite right for a young couple like you guys, even though it would be a fantastic investment piece!!
and now i've written you a novel, sorry!! :)
I like #2...we have acutally ordered a new chair for our living room that is a printed chair and we have a solid chocolate brown leather couch & oversized chair already. The pattern just adds something fun!
I like #2 or #3. I love the funky design of #2 and it would go really good with your couch. However....you can't beat a big comfy recliner and that looks really similar to the one we have and I LOVE it! It's perfect for a sleepy day to just curl up in!!
i really like the funky fun chair (#2)...i say it works well with what you already have and since the couches are solid you might want a fun piece to kick it up.
#1! you can always add funky pillows to it!
Totally #2!! It's gorgeous, and not exactly the same style as the couches you have, so it's a good accent chair. And it mixes in a lot of different colors. GREAT CHOICE!!!
chair ONE with awesome pillows!

#2 all the way!
#2, but I totally get the recliner thing. We bought one, I love & hate it all at the same time.. Hate the way it looks, but love to sit in it! Good luck!
Well, my first instinct says go with the red. Because I love red furniture. But the second one might blend more.
The second one for sure. You need the pattern along with your neutral couches. It will really pop! Can't wait to see the finished product!
I love chair #2! I think it will really tie everything in your room together, and it still has the red accent without having an entirely red chair. Good luck with your decision!
Okay, I like #1 and #2. BUT if you go with #1, make sure you tie in some accent pillows on the couch and in the chair...so that it ties things together.
If you go with #2, it automatically ties in the color of your couch, but it doesn't look quite as comfy and fun.
If it were ME, I would go with #1. If you tire of it being in the living room, you can always move it to a different room in the house...that's what I would do! :)
#2... for sure!!! Love the pattern & the dash of color in it!!!
oh my goodness! on a rainy day like today, all of this talk of comfy napping recliners is making me so sleepy!
looks like it's a close race ... #1 and #2 are my picks as well. i am a huge fan of red ... i just wonder if this red is a leetle too bright for the rest of your decor.
now to see if there is enough petty cash at the office to purchase a napping recliner for the office.

I love it.
I would say #2!
i love #1 but i think #2 will look the best in your room!
#1 or #2!
Megan,
Totally diggin' and lovin' #2. I love fun things like this, but the problem with this one is it may go out of style. But I still love it!!!
I have a recliner like #3, and I heart it!! It is so comfy and it feels like it gives you a hug every time you sit in it.
Have fun figuring it out,
Dawn
I say #2. It gives a little oomph, but it matches your color palette. That's a cool chair or #1 is good too. Not a fan of #3
I vote #2. :)
#2!!!!!
I am a huge red chair person but I have to say I Love #2 the best and I think adding that pattern with the other plain pieces will look great. Maybe you could even add some accent pillows with the colors from the chair or even a pillow with the same fabric of the chair to the couches to blend it all together. LOVE decorating:) Happy trails...
Chair #2. You need something with a pattern and some colors.
I'm for #2!
LOVE #2. Just the right amount of color to brighten up the room but not to bold either. Everything goes out of style in its own time. So I wouldn't make your decision based on that. I just did my basement in tan and turquoise. Good luck!!
Let us know what you decide.
Tressa
I LOVE #2 - it's AWESOME and fits right in with your color theme! :o)
Chair #2! Although chair #1 would be easier, and you could match any pattern to it that had red. BUT it seems very bright...I myself would probably tire of it fairly quickly!
#2 because it ties everything together.
I'm liking number 2 - the accent chair. But I'm not a fan of microfiber at all so that could be swaying me. Number 2 is fun and cute!
~K
I would say number 1. I think #2 is nice, but that pattern may go out of style. With # 1, you can add funky pillows with pattern- and change those up often.
OR- if you love #2, get it. And then invest in a nice slip cover when you are tired of the pattern.
#2 I love the color and the pattern!
Go for the Red. You won't regret it.
I'm gonna second waiting a bit longer - especially since you're looking at chairs with ottomans. I've got a huge chair with an ottoman and have had it while living in three different houses. In some of them, it's been a challenge to make it work in the room.
But if you just can't wait, I totally understand. I'm not the most patient person and like to get my stuff when the getting's good!
I like #1 the best for looks, and it looks pretty comfy. #2 is cute but it's a little too trendy for my tastes. Also, is it comfy? It looks like it might be kind of stiff. #3 may not be as pretty but it sure looks comfy. We've got a recliner in Colton's room and it's so comfy!
I LOVE the 2nd one!!! I also love that your posting pics for us to see :)
i'm late to the party (per usual), but i love chair #2. love it.
I like the red chair
