Coldplay Live!

So as I mentioned yesterday, Luke received an amazing gift to commemorate his 4 years (so far) at our Church. What was the amazing gift you ask?
2 tickets to Coldplay!

Luke is a huge music person, and I like to go to anything that could be considered ‘cool’ so this was the perfect gift for the both of us!

Sunday afternoon we met with some friends to eat before the big concert They didn’t have tickets to the concert, but we hadn’t hung out in awhile so ate with them and rubbed it in that we had tickets and they didn’t! Just kidding! Kelsey and Chris:
After a great meal Luke and I began to make our way to the event center. When we got there the event center wasn’t even letting people inside yet so we hung outside for awhile. Luckily the weather was amazing so I didn’t have to freeze!
Here we are waiting inside for the concert to start, bad pic of me but Luke looks so cute and excited!
Needless to say it was an amazing concert. Although I might have enjoyed it a bit more than the average person, as I am pretty sure I got high off of the “mary jane” smoke that was creeping into my nose from somewhere north. I’m telling you, there are serious repercussions for having an amazing sense of smell!

The lights were amazing, the music was amazing and the glow in the dark confetti was the coolest thing I had ever seen. I told Luke that our church seriously needs to invest in some glow in the dark confetti for worship service. How cool would that be?!?!
It was definitely an amazing night!!!

And the one bad thing about concerts is all of the pot smoke. Gross!!!

I am glad that your church
values Luke as an employee.
What a great present!!

One Sunday, our church passed out glow sticks. It was really neat to see all the sticks glowing during praise and worship.. to fun.

Oh man, I am officially jealous! I am not a live music person, don't really enjoy going to concerts very much...but the one I am sad to miss is Coldplay for sure.

Glad you had a good time and the pictures are great!

The reason I'm making my blog private is because of creepy internet people~no one in particular. When I started the blog, my boyfriend (now husband) did not like the idea of just anyone being able to read about me, him, family and friends. I try to be careful about what I write and when, not being too detailed. But I think now is the right time to become a private blog. Also, I keep thinking about the recent (still unsolved) murder of a local news anchor woman and that just scares me. Sooo...that's why I'm going private. I'll miss meeting people like you. Megan, you'll definitely still be able to read my blog. Thanks for your comments.

Meg I love Coldplay. I am so jealous. Kind of funny, I didn't really know who they were until I saw them at Austin City Limits three years ago. I bet they put on an even better show now - what song was your favorite live??

What a great gift! I was just laughing out loud about your "mary jane" smoke comment! That sense of smell will get you in trouble if people like that are around!
